Distillation
Capturing the emotions provided by roses is no easy task.
With the help of experienced professionals, our two master distillers have patiently developed the methods that best capture the delicate, elegant fragrance of fresh roses.
We continue to focus on other projects that allow us to explore new concepts and innovative ideas.
The cultivation of roses
A meticulous selection of rosebushes with the most delicate fragrances and needs best suited to our terroir.
A culture that respects nature.
Hand-pick the roses as soon as the dew has taken effect.
On-site processing to immediately capture the most subtle aromas.
The Larosée® signature
Black-yellow-pink gin
The essence of Larosée gin lies in the exceptional quality of its carefully cultivated roses.
Their delicate fragrances are captured immediately after picking on our estate, preserving their unrivalled freshness.
In keeping with our commitment, we also cultivate a variety of botanicals, including juniper,
thus perpetuating Belgian tradition and ensuring a rich, authentic composition for our gin.
Gin, distilled gin or London gin?
European regulations classify gins into three categories according to their production methods. These three categories of gin can be summarized as follows:
- "Gin" is an aromatized (non-distilled) spirit. This type of drink is produced by adding essences or flavorings to alcohol.
- "Distilled gin" must, of course, be distilled but it can be supplemented with flavoring substances after distillation.
- "London gin" is a distilled gin that does not allow the addition of flavoring after distillation. It cannot be colored.
And it obtains its unique aroma exclusively from the presence of natural plants during distillation.
These terms may be supplemented by the word "dry" if they do not contain added sweeteners in a proportion exceeding 0.1 gram/liter.
(for more details see the regulation (EU) 2019/787 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019
In line with this European regulation, Larosée® choses to create a London dry gin,
a decision guided by our commitment to rigorous standards of respect for quality and authenticity.
"It's by believing in roses that you make them bloom".
